Honda: Body

Tank was detoxed using a vinager mix to remove the rust and cleaned with metho, this was followed by a oil coating to ensure min rust returning while preping tank for paint. The tank was then paint striped around the lower join because of rust and surface treated with a rust remover and primed. The fuel filler area was striped rest treated cleaned and primed. Appox five small dents required sorting.

The rear duck tail was plastice welded in many places and stressed areas with wire renforced in the plastic.where possible and the missing lugs were fabicrated with white flashing plastic and glued with blue plastic pipe glue.

Same can be said to the rear duck tail black insert flashing around the tail light. New HONDA sticker required also.

Side covers and front mudguard required very little work other than remove decals and to prep for painting.

A new set of bike stickers were purchased once fitted would to be glossed over with clear, prior to the base colour coat being applied.

Broken right hand side black duck tail and broken left hand front mount, both needing plastic welding. Once finished new HONDA badge.

Show Candy Blue and rust in seam

Replaced broken plastic with madeup plastic and glued in to place for final fit.

Decals removed

Rust around the top and bottom join.

Some of the left over fuel and tank rust from the detox.

Mudguard required the two pack to be removed due to a lot of paint cracking. Like other parts the Royal Blue was the orginal colour. Sides of front guard have bulging plastic, requires fixing ??.
